Dr. Ryan Martin, ND
Dr. Ryan was born the son of missionaries and grew up among many different cultures. His first career was in corporate accounting, and it was while working for a large corporation that he realized that his true calling had always been to help others. After the birth of his son, at home with a naturopathic midwife, he decided to enroll in naturopathic medical school. Dr. Ryan graduated from the National University of Natural Medicine as a Naturopathic Doctor and Midwife. Having four children, the last two born at home, he decided to focus his practice on family medicine with an emphasis on pediatrics and midwifery.
Dr. Ryan likes to practice like an old-fashioned country doctor. In his practice he emphasizes nutrition and simple remedies first. He has a depth of knowledge about herbs, supplements, home remedies, and hydrotherapy. He is also very knowledgeable about the subject of childhood vaccines and helps parents navigate the intricacies of this issue. He believes that his patients are in charge of their medical care, and he is there to provide them with the information that they need to make the right decisions. He spends the needed time with each patient and is even known to make house calls and answer his phone in the middle of the night to help a frightened parent.
Dr. Ryan enjoys camping, canning, gardening, traveling, and hiking with his four children and wife.
