Winter Weather Information

Winter weather is coming to the Portland area! We have special instructions for Andaluz clients near their due date:

❄️ The midwives can make it to the birth center even in bad weather, so don’t worry!

❄️ Notify your midwife if you are in labor or suspect you are in labor EARLY so that they can plan and help you coordinate your arrival at the birth center. Expect travel times to the birth center to be much longer than usual.

❄️ Plan on having traction devices for you tires (chains, auto socks), or someone with with AWD/4WD who can help transport you to the birth center. Also make sure your gas tank stays full to avoid any pit stops.

❄️ PGE knows we are a medical facility so we will be priority for restoration if there is a power outage. We also have a generator available if needed.
